What is Sculptra?
Sculptra is made up of poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), a collagen stimulator, that reduces wrinkles by restoring the deep, underlying structure of the skin. Sculptra stimulates your body’s natural collagen production within the deep dermis, helping to restore your skin’s structure and volume. The Sculptra PLLA microparticles stimulate collagen production as they are absorbed. By gradually rebuilding collagen strands, wrinkles and folds look fuller and facial volume is restored.
How is Sculptra different from filler?
Filler is made up of hyaluronic acid and works immediately to fill in lines, wrinkles and folds. Sculptra works over time as it is stimulating and supporting your body’s own natural ability to produce the collagen that will naturally fill in those lines and wrinkles.
How soon will I see results with Sculptra?
You may begin seeing progressive, visible results within the first few weeks after each Sculptra treatment session. Results will continue to progress and improve for up to 2 years (with the recommended amount of treatments).
